Entry requirements:

This course is suitable for people that have taken the “Blues Grundkurs del 1” course or an equivalent blues beginner’s course. The course is designed for those with blues dance experience who want to develop a deeper understanding of blues aesthetics. 

Course description:

This course is the extension of part 1, made to develop the components of social dancing and blues aesthetics. You will explore further the basics of partner dancing and what makes blues dancing distinctive. You will apply these components to expand your blues dance vocabulary. We will explore different ways of dancing in connection to the other person and to the music, exploring musicality and how to dynamically move to blues music.

Many of the concepts explored during the course are not exclusive to Blues dance and will improve your overall dancing skills.

The course format is ELEF, which means that everyone leads and everyone follows. Participants are not limited to only leading or only following.

Kursen passar dig som gått “Blues Grundkurs del 1” eller motsvarande nybörjarkurs i blues. Den är utformad för dig med erfarenhet av bluesdans som vill utveckla en djupare förståelse för bluesestetik.

Kursbeskrivning:

Denna kurs bygger vidare på del 1. Vi fördjupar oss i pardansens grunder och bluesens unika känsla för att göra dig mer flexibel på det sociala dansgolvet. Fokus kommer vara på att förbättra din kontakt med både din partner och musiken, att göra dansen mer dynamisk, bygga på din dansvokabulär, och att utöka dina rörelsemönster.

Mycket av det vi övar på kommer göra dig till en bättre dansare generellt, även utanför bluesen.

Kursen ges i ELEF-format, vilket innebär att alla både för och följer. Deltagarna är alltså inte begränsade till att enbart föra eller enbart följa.
