Fortsättningskurs i WCS
Utveckla din West Coast Swing
Har du gått en grundkurs i West Coast Swing och vill ta nästa steg? Denna fortsättningskurs ger dig möjlighet att fördjupa dina kunskaper, förfina tekniken och utöka din figurrepertoar.
Vad kommer du lära dig?
Under kursen bygger vi vidare på grunderna från grundkursen och fokuserar på:
- Nya figurer och variationer – Whip-variationer, Inside/Outside turn, och fler avancerade turer
- Fördjupad teknik – Stretch, frame, connection och hur du skapar en mjukare och mer kontrollerad dans
- Musikalitet och styling – Att anpassa din dans till olika musikstilar och hitta ditt personliga uttryck
- Floorcraft – Att navigera effektivt på dansgolvet tillsammans med andra par
- Lead & Follow – Förfina din förmåga att föra/följa med tydlighet och känslighet
Vi repeterar också grundfigurerna från grundkursen och ser till att du får en stabil bas att bygga vidare på.
Kursupplägg
Onsdagar kl 18:15-19:30
- Start: 18 februari 2026
- Antal lektioner: 8 tillfällen
- 4 mars, 25 mars & 15 april - dessa datum kommer det istället ordnas socialdans i Bugg och Fox i våra lokaler, så kom gärna på det istället!
Adress: Kursen kommer hållas i LA Danzers lokal på Bergsgatan 10 i Ludvika.
Kostnad: 750 kr + medlemsavgift LA Danzers
För vem?
Kursen passar dig som har gått en grundkurs i West Coast Swing eller motsvarande. Du bör känna dig bekväm med de grundläggande figurerna (Left side pass, Under arm turn, Sugar push, Sugar Tuc) samt grundrytmerna (Steg-Steg och Trippelsteg).
Vi roterar partners under lektionerna så att du får möjlighet att dansa med olika personer och utveckla din versatilitet som dansare.
Vad ska du ha med dig?
- Bekväma kläder att röra sig i
- Skor med släta sulor (t.ex. sneakers eller dansskor)
- Vatten
- Gärna ett litet anteckningsblock om du vill skriva ner tips

Intermediate Course in WCS
Develop your West Coast Swing
Have you completed a beginner course in West Coast Swing and want to take the next step? This intermediate course gives you the opportunity to deepen your knowledge, refine your technique and expand your repertoire of figures.
What will you learn?
During the course we build upon the basics from the beginner course and focus on:
- New figures and variations – Whip variations, Inside/Outside turn, and more advanced patterns
- Advanced technique – Stretch, frame, connection and how to create a smoother and more controlled dance
- Musicality and styling – Adapting your dance to different music styles and finding your personal expression
- Floorcraft – Navigating effectively on the dance floor together with other couples
- Lead & Follow – Refining your ability to lead/follow with clarity and sensitivity
We also review the basic figures from the beginner course and ensure you have a solid foundation to build upon.
Course Schedule
Wednesdays 6:15-7:30 PM
- Start: February 18, 2026
- Number of lessons: 8 sessions
Course breaks:
- March 4, March 25 & April 15 - on these dates we will instead host social dancing in Bugg and Fox at our venue, so feel free to join us for that instead!

Who is this for?
The course is suitable for those who have completed a beginner course in West Coast Swing or equivalent. You should feel comfortable with the basic figures (Left side pass, Under arm turn, Sugar push, Sugar Tuc) as well as the basic rhythms (Step-Step and Triple step).
We rotate partners during the lessons so you get the opportunity to dance with different people and develop your versatility as a dancer.
What to bring?
- Comfortable clothes to move in
- Shoes with smooth soles (e.g. sneakers or dance shoes)
- Water
- A small notebook if you want to write down tips
