In recent years, the Iraqi dance has spread by storm on the international dance scenes. One of the most popular Iraqi dance styles is Kawleeya (raq's kawleeya), which is characterized by heavy footsteps, head and hair movements and a lot of expression.

Anastasia is the head of Layalis popular Iraqi choreographies and is the teacher who introduced the dance style to Layali. In 2018 Layali won first place at the Inanna Iraqi Dance Festival.

During this workshop you will get to practice kawleye technique and combinations as well as a new lovely choreography.
