DJ Workshop Spring 2024

CONTENT:

We welcome you to a DJ workshop with focus on DJing skills and swing era music style. Note that you should prepare a short playlist in advance and bring it to the workshop!

The content will be:

-DJing skills (in general)

-Technical/equipment familiarity

-Swing dance styles

-Swing era music styles

The workshop is split into 2 main parts:

-The first part would be a discussion about DJ skills and swing music/swing dance styles with interactive games about what it means when music "swings"

-The second part would be the practical building of a set.

-Lastly, you will briefly go over the equipment and technical matters

TO PREPARE:

We want you to prepare and bring a playlist of 5 tunes or no more than 30 min with something you imagine you would like to DJ at a swing night to the workshop! 

FREE WORKSHOP?

All members of Swedish Swing Society that have DJ-ed at any of our socials the last year can participate in the workshop for free. (Regardless of lindy, boogie, balboa, blues or fusion social.) Others will have to pay a small fee (190 SEK).
