Moonglow Slow Balboa - Workshop

Inspired by Benny Goodman's "Moonglow", this weekend is all about slowing down. With Gio and Olga as your guides, you will dig down into open and close positions, textures and individuality. 

8 hours of classes designed for intermediate to advanced dancers in Balboa, Lindy Hop, and Blues. Come solo and rotate partners, or sign up with a partner and stay together, your choice!  Fika will be served.

3 social evenings with with a mix of tempos—plus delicious fika and refreshments to keep the conversations flowing!

Slow Balboa, or Slow Bal, is a subgenre of the Swing dance Balboa, characterized by its dancing to slow-tempo swing music (70-110 bpm) in contrast to the fast tempo of traditional Balboa (150-220 bpm). It emphasizes a close embrace and a fluid connection with the dance partner.

• Moonglow Party | 20:00–00:00 A dreamy night of dancing to fast and slow tempos.

Sunday 30 November

• Classes | 11:00–17:00
• Tea Dance | 17:30–19:30 Even more dancing to wrap up the weekend!

Cancelation policy: 
Full payment must be received 2 weeks after acceptance, otherwiseyou risk losing your place at the event. Cancellations before 14 November will receive a full refund minus 200 kr processing fee. Important: please note that cancellation requests are done to kurser@swedishswing.se
Cancellations after 14 November 2025 will receive no refund. You may however transfer your ticket to someone else with the same dance role (leader or follower).
